In a world where nightfall awakens livings nightmares, humanity clings to existence behind fragile sanctuaries
lit by sacred fire. These flames are more than light - they are ancient wards, passed down through forgotten
rites, holding back the horrors that stalk the darkness. When the fires burn low, entire villages vanish by
morning, leaving behind only scorched earth and echoes of screams.
Beyond the reach of the flames roam the Hollowborn, twisted beings shaped from unresolved human regret.
Once mortal, they were consumed by despair, rage, or grief so profound it tore their souls apart. Now they
wander as predators, feeding on memory, fear and blood, growing stringer with every life they fracture.
Some retain fragments of their former selves, whispering names they no longer recognize, while others have
fully surrendered to the hunger.
"The night belongs to them.
I've seen it - felt it breathing just beyond the firelight.
Every sunset is a warning carved into the sky, reminding us why these flames were born.
Let the fire die, even for a moment, and the world remembers how easily it bleeds."
Kael Emberfall, Commander
You will need to be out of training to initiate as battle. Our speeds will always be lower than his at this point, so he'll get first attack, you'll get second, he'll get third and fourth. He'll yield the battle to you upon your second attack.
A higher speed threshold will allow you two battle phases starting on the 3rd round... or your opponent will get them. If neither side meets the threshold, you'll each get one bout of combat. This can be an attack (only things currently supported for players), waiting or using an item.
The idea behind this right now is just to make sure battle logic is working and battles end and process rewards properly. The next update (Beta Version 1.0) will have attacks, waits/defends and potentially consumable items.
Please let me know if you encounter any bugs and slam that abort button if it does bug.
Note: AI will process their attacks between 2 and 5 seconds after the start of their turn. So if you don't have attack option, wait for a few seconds and it should process.
Please excuse us while we clean up some of systems and get things ready to go. We'll have some more information released very soon.
